Skill building seminar- Sewing classes
Calgary Immigrants for Immigrants (CIIA) is proud to offer a Skill Building Seminar – Sewing Class, a three-month hands-on training program designed to empower individuals, enhance employability, and promote self-sufficiency through the art of sewing. This program is an incredible opportunity for newcomers, immigrants, and community members to learn valuable skills, build confidence, and explore new career opportunities in the sewing and tailoring industry.
Many newcomers and immigrants face barriers to employment, and learning a skill like sewing can open doors to self-employment, home-based businesses, and local job opportunities. This program not only teaches a practical skill but also fosters community connections, financial independence, and personal growth.
Throughout the three months, participants gain hands-on experience, build their own projects, and receive guidance from experienced instructors. Whether someone is looking to start a career in sewing, create handmade products, or simply enjoy a new hobby, this program offers a supportive and enriching environment for learning.
We believe in empowering individuals through skills and knowledge.
